How it works
Three steps. Two minutes. One paid invoice.
No templates to wrestle with, no Word document formatting disasters, no “free trial” that asks for a card at the end.
Fill in the details
Your business, your client, what you did and what it costs. Add as many line items as you need — totals, tax and discounts calculate themselves.
Make it yours
Pick an accent color and a status stamp, add your payment details — bank transfer, Venmo, PayPal, whatever you actually use — in the notes.
Download & send
One click turns it into a clean, professional PDF. Attach it to an email, drop it in a message, get paid. Come back any time for the next one.
Why freelancers use it
Everything a real invoice needs. Nothing it doesn't.
Built around the way freelancers and small businesses actually bill — one job, one invoice, sent today.
Math that does itself
Subtotal, percentage discount, tax and amount-paid are calculated live, so the balance due is always right — even when a client pays in two parts.
12 currencies, properly formatted
Dollars, euros, pounds, yen and more — amounts are formatted the way your client's country expects to see them.
Looks established, instantly
Six accent colors and a clean layout that makes a one-person business look like a firm clients pay on time.
Private by design
There's no account and no upload. Your rates and your clients' details stay on your device — the PDF is built right in your browser.
Status stamps
Mark an invoice Draft, Sent, Paid or Overdue with a stamp that looks the part — handy for resending a paid receipt or a polite nudge.
Works on your phone
Finished a job on site? Invoice from the truck. The maker and preview are fully usable on a small screen.

What every invoice should include
Missing any of these is the most common reason invoices get paid late — accounting departments send them back and the clock restarts. This generator covers all of them.
- Your business name and contact details
- Your client's name and billing address
- A unique invoice number
- Issue date and a clear due date
- Itemized work — what, how many, at what rate
- Tax and any discount, shown separately
- The total and any balance still due
- Exactly how to pay you (bank, Venmo, PayPal…)

Questions
Before you ask
Is it really free?
Yes. Create and download as many invoices as you like — no sign-up, no watermark, no trial that expires. The site will be supported by ads, which is how it stays free.
Where does my information go?
Nowhere. Everything you type stays in this browser tab and the PDF is generated on your device. Close the tab and it's gone — so download your PDF before you leave.
How do I send the invoice to my client?
Click “Download PDF”, then attach the file to an email from your own account. Putting your payment details in the Notes section (bank transfer, Venmo, PayPal) makes it easy for your client to pay the moment they open it.
Can I add tax or VAT?
Yes — set the tax percentage and rename it to Tax, VAT, GST or sales tax, whatever applies where you work. It's calculated after any discount, and shown as its own line on the invoice.
What if my client pays in two installments?
Enter what they've already paid in “Amount paid.” The invoice will show the total, the amount paid, and the exact balance due.
Does it work for quotes or receipts too?
In practice, yes: use the Paid stamp for a receipt, or set a future due date and note “Quote — valid 30 days” in the notes for a simple estimate.
